JESÚS CHAVARRÍA

CEO, EDITOR, AND PUBLISHER

Jesús Chavarría, Ph.D., is CEO of Hispanic Business Inc. and founding editor and publisher of Hispanic Business magazine, which celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2004 as the nation´s first and most recognized authority on the U.S. Hispanic private sector.

A pioneer in English-speaking Hispanic media, Mr. Chavarría has been credited with bringing national awareness to the growing U.S. Hispanic enterprise community. His distinctions include the Minority Business Success Award from the Institute for American Business, and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Association of Hispanic Advertising Agencies (AHAA). The Small Business Administration named Mr. Chavarría the Business Journalist of the Year in recognition of his work as a voice and mentor for Hispanic entrepreneurs. He has also been honored by the Multicultural Institute for Leadership for his efforts to promote diversity in corporate business. In 2006, Mr. Chavarría was inducted into the Minority Business Hall of Fame for his contributions to the development and growth of minority businesses.

Mr. Chavarría holds a Ph.D. in history from UCLA. Prior to establishing Hispanic Business magazine, he was a professor of history at the University of Wisconsin and the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he founded the Chicano Studies Center and Program. Mr. Chavarría also chaired the historic Task Force on Chicanos at the University of California in 1976, as well as founded the Hispanic College Fund and serves on the board for the California Council of the Humanities.

JOHN J. PASINI

Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer

John J. Pasini has more than 15 years’ combined experience in finance, accounting, and telecommunications. After attending the University of California at Santa Barbara, he began his career with the big-six accounting firm Coopers & Lybrand, where he gained more than five years of public accounting experience.

In 1992, Mr. Pasini joined the domestic long-distance carrier Frontier Communications (formerly known as WCT Communications Inc.), where he oversaw accounting, budgeting, and shareholder relations. Mr. Pasini left Frontier Communications in 1995 to serve as controller for the international long-distance carrier Star Telecommunications Inc. He was subsequently promoted to the position of vice-president of finance and chief accounting officer, where he was responsible for billing services, network cost, credit and collections, accounting, payroll, and financial reporting.

JUAN SOLANA, PH.D.

CHIEF ECONOMIST/DIRECTOR OF NEW MEDIA BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Juan Solana is the Chief Economist at HispanTelligence®, the research division of Hispanic Business Inc., as well as the Director of New Media Business Development.

With HispanTelligence, Mr. Solana oversees the development of customized strategic projects and market-oriented reports such as the Hispanic Consumers, the U.S. Hispanic Economy, Hispanics and Demand for Financial Services, Access to Capital for Hispanicowned Business, the Hispanic Business 500®, and other tracking studies on the U.S. Hispanic economy. As Director of New Media Business Development, Mr. Solana manages the procuring of content for the online properties of Hispanic Business Inc. as well as securing corporate partnerships.

An expert in his field, Mr. Solana has appeared on CNN, NPR, and Bloomberg to discuss key trends pertaining to the U.S. Hispanic economy. He has also appeared as a source for the New York Times, Washington Post, Miami Herald, Business Week, Expansión, La Clave, and La Opinión.

Mr. Solana holds a bachelor´s degree in economics and business from Universidad Complutense de Madrid in his native Spain, as well as a Master of Science in international economics and a Ph.D. in economics from Purdue University. He also serves on the Advisory Council to Certified Financial Planners´ Board and Hispanic Business´s Board of Economists.

BILL KRUTZEN

DIRECTOR OF NEW MEDIA OPERATIONS

A former educator, teacher trainer, and vocational counselor, Bill Krutzen has more than 15 years of experience in the vocational, educational, and adaptive technology arenas. He is responsible for the operations of Hispanic Business Media´s online properties. Mr. Krutzen directs professional teams in the operations, customer service, and online sales departments.

Beginning his career as an educator in 1984, Mr. Krutzen served as a master teacher and teacher trainer specializing in behavioral and adaptive technology. In 1997 he began working with California´s Employment Development Department and soon thereafter as a vocational counseling specialist for the County of Santa Barbara Workforce Resource Center.

Mr. Krutzen holds a Master of Education degree and a Bachelor of Arts in developmental psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He joined Hispanic Business Media in March 2000.

MICHAEL PERRONI

DIRECTOR OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Michael Perroni is responsible for managing the company´s information, network and telecommunications systems. As a member of the executive management team, he provides technical and management support, guiding the direction and automation of the corporate business process and New Media products.

A dedicated and motivational leader, Mr. Perroni has more than 25 years of experience in information technology, operations, technical support, and service. He joined the Hispanic Business team in 2000 after serving as director of technical services for JDI Technologies, Inc., a leader in computer printing technology.
