BOSTON, MA -- (Marketwired) -- 06/19/13 -- Kandessa Digital is announcing "Kandessa Marketplace" in a multi-city tour in late June and July. The new service is a marketplace of vendors and Kandessa's restaurant marketing and support services for emerging chains and independents. The campaigns will encompass in-person canvassing in both Boston and Washington, D.C. markets, together with upcoming marketing from a regional food radio and TV marketing partner.
The Kandessa Marketplace service will now manage "+social" for restaurants, communication and marketing support for restaurants. +social is Kandessa's novel social media service for restaurants, which includes campaign strategy and management tactics, as well as starter and engagement programs.
Another service, KR2 will roll in menu development, restaurant operational support and consulting.
After four years of serving in the foodservice industry and leadership experience through its national trade publications, including Chain Pulse Magazine, Kandessa Digital is thrilled for the opportunity to expand communications services for restaurateurs and introduce Restaurants and Franchising Magazine.
The new program, Kandessa Marketplace, will provide information and services to independent operators and emerging chain execs:
•KR2. Menu rollout, implementation, inventory, loss prevention consulting, and support for restaurants are now just two clicks away. •SupplyPulse. Kandessa has started the build-out of its new directory listings that are going to be tied into its new digital-only magazine scheduled for August. Kandessa online news sites Chain Pulse, Eatery Pulse Magazine and Restaurants and Franchising Magazine will carry fee-based directory listing and company pages. SupplyPulse will also launch a stand-alone online directory in August. •+social. Social media services, in conjunction with a Constant Contact solutions provider and social media strategy firm in Brookline, Mass., will support restaurants with campaign strategy, social media training, and campaign management. +social has also folded in a daily deals program, Save Local, as a viable alternative solution for restaurateurs typically launching profit-eroding coupons and deals. •Communication services. A nascent marketing agreement with a major communications and press release distributor will allow Kandessa Marketplace to help restaurateurs succeed by providing easy access of on-demand writing, content generation and press release distribution.
"Kandessa Marketplace is a recent addition to our portfolio of services, launched as a result of new marketing partnerships," says Rick Zambrano, director, Kandessa Digital. "Our research revealed that many restaurateurs often do not have direct access to focus and customized marketing and support services. Unfortunately, some restaurateurs close shop before they're able to access these types of services and a reliable marketing and operations partner."
Businesses across five different markets, including Boston, Washington, D.C., NY Tri-State, Atlanta, and Raleigh-Durham will be the first to learn of the programs during 2013.
"Although our programs are accessible nationally at this point, we've chosen Boston and D.C. as two central starting points," adds Zambrano. "On our anniversary, we're going to enhance ourselves to cater the service of restaurateurs. We're becoming the marketing and media partner of choice for restaurants and foodservice companies."
Restaurants and Franchising Magazine will follow the footsteps of Eatery Pulse Magazine New England, in its regional capabilities. A rolling-market trade publication focusing on the business of franchising and operating restaurants, the new and first advertorial for Kandessa, will focus on Washington, D.C. as its first trade market.
"We've expanded our ability to touch foodservice businesses in a new format by combining digital and sustainable news, with hands-on services," adds Zambrano. "Our genesis in the foodservice industry itself enables us to be able to serve the foodservice vertical in a unique way."
Kandessa Marketplace follows a large-scale rollout of Restaurant News App. The new app is the firm's "informed, inspired" innovation for the tablets and smartphones of restaurateurs. Kandessa is giving away 10,000 free subscriptions as part of its four-year anniversary celebration that began last week.
