"It's a huge privilege to be acknowledged in this way by IABC luminaries whom I have respected and admired for so long. Over the years, I've tried to pursue their trailblazing paths here in Australia. To join their ranks is a tremendous honour," said Lorraine. "Thank you. My mission now is to amplify the Be Heard message in this 'down-under' part of the world."
Mary Ann McCauley, ABC - After a brief career as a journalist, Mary Ann's communication career spans three decades. IABC has benefited from Mary Ann's vast communication talent throughout the years. She served as the president of the IABC/Minnesota chapter in 1989, district director in 2007, served two terms on the international executive board and is the past chair of the IABC accreditation committee. Earlier in her career, Mary Ann received the IABC District Four Communicator of the Year award in 1982 and was the recipient of the IABC Chairman's Award in 2000.
Mary Ann's career has allowed her to gain exceptional experience in crisis/issues management, organizational/employee communication, media relations, mergers/acquisitions, and community relations. Acquiring these experiences has allowed Mary Ann to be a confident advisor to her clients and other IABC members.
"Being recognized by my peers is humbling and gratifying as it is an honor I've dreamed of but didn't expect," said Mary Ann. "I have admired, been in awe of and learned from this group of Fellows so it is quite the privilege to be joining them."
Suzanne Salvo - As a successful photographer and co-owner of Salvo Photography for more than 25 years, Suzanne has lent her talents and leadership to IABC on the local, national and international levels. She has served in various capacities throughout her 21 years of IABC membership. She achieved the record for new member registrations as the IABC/ Houston marketing manager from 1993-1994.
A true connector and advocate of IABC, many members speak highly of how welcoming and knowledgeable Suzanne is at every instance. During her frequent trips around the world, Suzanne makes it a point to connect with local members in each location and has fostered many great relationships by going above and beyond what's expected.
"Excited, proud, thankful are just a few of the feelings that went through my head upon hearing the news. I have been an IABC believer, volunteering and evangelizing since joining in 1985," said Suzanne. "I still get back so much more than I give."
