Valentine's Day in Vegas: A Dining Guide

Rao's at Caesars Palace offers a la carte specials including beef carpaccio, beef bolognese lasagna, red snapper and the red velvet heart for dessert. Specialty cocktails include the Cherry Drop Martini.

Seafood Shack at TI offers a menu featuring lobster bisque followed by kumamoto oysters on the half shell, served with strawberry mignonette. The main course is a pan-roasted filet mignon and butter-poached prawn. For dessert, enjoy Chef Debbie's chocolate coeur a la creme. The menu is available for $45 per person and is served from 5 to 10 p.m.

Phil's Italian Steakhouse at TI offers a choice of oysters on the half-shell, served with Champagne and wasabi cream or prosciutto-wrapped scallops to start followed by a choice of lobster chowder or Caesar salad. The main course is a choice of a rack of Colorado lamb, served with a port wine sauce, red pepper mash and asparagus, pan-seared Mediterranean sea bass, served with fennel cream, heart of beetroot risotto and baby carrots or chateaubriand for two, featuring a 16-ounce center cut tenderloin, fingerling potatoes, baby vegetables and tarragon demi-glaze sauce. Dessert is a chocolate coeur a la creme with a raspberry compote. The menu is available for $75 per person from 5-10 p.m.

Summerlin's Chocolate and Spice features Chef Megan Romano's hand-crafted specials, including sweets available for pre-order such as strawberries and champagne ($20), three large dark chocolate Champagne truffles and three chocolate-dipped strawberries, and chocolate-dipped strawberries wrapped in a gift box (six for $12, 12 for $22, 18 for $32, 24 for $44). Other Valentine's Day bakery specials include the dark chocolate raspberry torte ($25), chocolate brownie heart with cream cheese frosting ($5), raspberry macaroons with a chocolate ganache filling (five for $10), raspberry cheesecake with dark chocolate crust ($7), raspberry almond Linzer and heart-shaped sugar cookies ($3 each) and Valentine's cupcakes ($3.75 each).

Due Forni offers a prix fixe menu for two for $60. The feast includes stracciatella al forno with roasted cherry tomatoes, basil pesto and house-made bread, heart-shaped lobster ravioli served with butter sauce, pizza bresaola with thinly sliced cured tenderloin, creamy casatica, red onions and fresh spinach, and dolci cannoli filled with Valhrona chocolate and strawberries and topped with toasted almonds.

Hussong's offers a $35 four-course dinner including starters of vegetable soup and turkey lettuce wraps, an entree of almond tequila sea bass with roasted red potatoes, almond and tequila sauce, Swiss chard and avocado, and Bunuelos y Cocados, a thin, fried tortilla with cinnamon and sugar and sweet coconut flakes, to round out the experience.

Lavo offers a special menu including Mediterranean King Crab Salad ($22) with roasted beets, mache and citrus; Rose Petal Shaped Pasta ($28) with shrimp, asparagus tips and black truffles; and a six-ounce filet mignon and baked langostino ($65). For dessert, enjoy a Valrhona Chocolate Parfait ($14) with preserved raspberries.

Slice of Vegas presents a $40, four-course dining experience. Kick the meal off with Tomato Bisque Soup and Ensalata, a spring mix with candied nuts, pomegranates and bleu cheese topped with a pomegranate vinaigrette. Mare E Terra will serve as the entree, consisting of a filet, shrimp, roasted garlic and basil mashed potatoes, asparagus and tarragon zabaglione. End the night on a sweet note with assorted Petit Fours with caramel sauce and candied strawberries.
