Mike Fernandez, CCO, Cargill
Reporting directly to CEO Greg Page, Mike Fernandez is the most senior corporate affairs official at Cargill, where he oversees global government relations, internal and external communications, corporate responsibility, knowledge management and corporate brand management. Mike also serves as co-chair of the Institute of Public Relations, and earlier in his career worked on Capitol Hill as press secretary to former US Senator Fritz Hollings.
Rudy Ferrer, President & COO, Delta Media Inc.
Rudy currently serves as President & COO of Delta Media Inc. In January 1995, he joined Hal W Brown III and opened Delta Media, Inc.'s office in Miami. He was also named Marketing Director for the West Coast at Shelter Advertising of America, Inc. in 1990. When Shelter Advertising of America, Inc. was purchased by Patrick Media Group, he was promoted to Director of Hispanic Marketing.
Lino Garcia, General Manager, ESPN Deportes
Lino manages ESPN Deportes on a day-to-day basis in all areas of operation, including programming, sales and marketing. Prior to joining ESPN in 2004, Lino accumulated fifteen years of experience in the cable industry where he primarily focused his efforts on marketing to the Hispanic community. His pivotal role with ESPN has been recognized by Sports Illustrated as one of the 101 most influential minorities in sports. He most recently was selected as one of CableFAX's 50 Most Influential Minorities in Cable for three consecutive years (2008-10), and one of the 2011's most Powerful and Influential Latinos in the Entertainment Industry by The Imagen Foundation.
Jacqueline Hernandez, COO, Telemundo
Jacqueline Hernandez was named chief operating officer of Telemundo Media in April 2008. Hernandez oversees all domestic revenue, leads and unifies all sales, marketing and domestic growth platforms for the consolidated Telemundo network and stations group, as well as the digital, cable, integrated marketing and branded entertainment divisions. In addition, she oversees Telemundo's cable youth network, mun2, including programming, operations, revenue and strategy. Hernandez also leads Telemundo Media's Digital and Emerging Business team, which drives the network's presence on digital, mobile and social platforms
David Lawenda, President, Univision
David Lawenda is President of Advertising Sales and Marketing at Univision Communications Inc. He oversees advertising sales and marketing for the Company's suite of media offerings, including Univision Network, TeleFutura Network, Univision Cable Networks, which includes Galavision and a suite of new cable networks -De Pelicula, De Pelicula Clasico, Bandamax, Ritmoson, Telehit and Clasico TV; Univision Television Group, Univision Radio and Univision Interactive Media.
Mark Lopez, Head of U.S. Hispanic Audience, Google
Mark Lopez is a digital media executive and is currently Head of U.S. Hispanic Audience at Google. Mark, who has co-chaired the Interactive Advertising Bureau's multicultural committee for the last two-and-a-half years, worked with ComScore to help create the Hispanic Focus category. He was also publisher of multicultural audiences at AOL from 2004 to 2007.
Monica Lozano, CEO, Impremedia
Ms. Monica Lozano is the Chief Executive at ImpreMedia, LLC and is also owner of the Los Angeles daily, LaOpinion. In January 2004, Ms. Lozano became Publisher and Chief Executive Officer at La Opinion, assuming full responsibility for the country's largest Spanish language daily newspaper. Ms. Lozano oversaw the launch of new advertising products such as La Opinion Direct as well as the introduction of new targeted sections, and the licensing of La Opinion content outside of the southern California region.
Carlos Orta, President & CEO, HACR
Carlos Orta is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility (HACR), a national 501(c) (3) organization established in 1986 and based in Washington, DC. HACR's mission is to advance the inclusion of Hispanics in corporate America at a level commensurate with their economic contributions. Since joining HACR in April 2006, Carlos has developed programs that are instrumental in helping HACR accomplish its mission.
Javier Palomarez, President & CEO, USHCC
Javier Palomarez is the President and CEO of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC), the leading advocate for nearly 3 million Hispanic-owned businesses and over 200 local Hispanic chambers throughout the United States. Prior to the USHCC, Palomarez served as Vice President of Multicultural Marketing at ING Financial Services, where he was recruited to lead diversity outreach programs. He was responsible for marketing, sponsorships, public relations and external communications to help position this global leader in the financial services industry.
