The Kenan-Flagler Business School emphasizes curriculum designed to develop the skills and knowledge identified by employers as critical to career performance: leadership, communication, interpersonal communication, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and strategic thinking. Hispanic students are leaders in the MBA Student Association, career clubs, and other student groups. They often are members of the International Business Association and the Alliance of Minority Business Students. Forty percent of the school's full-time faculty have significant corporate work experience, serve on corporate boards, or have owned businesses. Unique among top business schools, the school's Frank Hawkins Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise is a center of business, academic and governmental collaboration for market-based economic development around the world. The institute also has offices in Bangkok, Thailand, through its affiliate, the Kenan Institute Asia, and in Washington, D.C., and Charlotte, North Carolina. The school also offers online services, chapter events, reunions, and continuing executive education to alumni.

The Anderson Graduate School of Management has attracted corporate partners including Ford Motor Co., KPMG, Goldman Sachs, Pulte Homes, and Grant Thornton. Active involvement of faculty and students in the Hispanic Business Students Association and the Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting provide Hispanic students with a cultural community encouraging excellence. The school's commitment to outreach and providing students with hands-on experience is seen at the Center for the Support of Economic Development, an assistance center for small businesses (more than 40 percent of which are Hispanic-owned in New Mexico), entrepreneurs and start-ups involving student teams in creating real business solutions. The school also has launched the Program for Creative Enterprise to help businesses and nonprofit organizations solve problems through non-linear thinking. Student teams are actively involved in these outreach efforts. Placement rates for Anderson graduates exceed 90 percent within three months of graduation, and graduation rates exceed 85 percent.
