The Stern School of Business fosters cutting-edge research and leverages its New York City location as its classroom and laboratory. The school also has a strong Association of Hispanic and Black Business Students and recruits in the Hispanic community through programs and clubs such as the MBA Diversity Alliance. The Association of Hispanic and Black Business Students also recruits minority students to Stern and creates career networks and organizes corporate presentations, alumni receptions, career development workshops and business exploration trips. NYU Stern offers Hispanic students mentoring programs such as Management Leadership for Tomorrow, and Consortium Study Graduate Management. The school also takes part in activities organized by the National Society of Hispanic MBAs, fostering Hispanic leadership through graduate management education and professional development.

The McCombs MBA Program offers financial support to student organizations such as the Hispanic Graduate Business Association, the International MBA Students Association, and the Consortium Fellows Business Association. In addition to being one of the 13 schools in the Consortium for Graduate Studies in Management, the school annually sponsors and participates in the conference for the National Society of Hispanic MBAs. The school also hosts and sponsors events for the Austin chapter of NSHMBA. Hispanic students have comprised between 10 percent and 15 percent of each incoming MBA class, and curriculum emphasizes a global understanding of business. Through the Plus Program, students can explore corporate and cultural differences through school-sponsored study in Latin America, Asia, and Europe. The joint-degree program in Latin American Studies is designed to meet demand for business specialists with an understanding of Latin American politics and cultures. The school has partnered with more than 20 of the world's top schools, including 10 of the top business schools in Latin America, to offer exchange and double-degree programs.
