The Loyola Law School offers students opportunities to participate in international exchange programs, including one with the Universidad Iberoamericana in Tijuana, Mexico, and another through the University of Costa Rica. The law school has been supportive of student participation in the law-student group La Raza de Loyola since its founding in the late 1960s. The law school places a priority on creating an exceptional multicultural academic environment for all students, and students also are supported by the law school's Latino Alumni Chapter. Members of the chapter serve as mentors and work to raise funds for scholarships. "The mission of Loyola Law School has been distinguished for many years by its concern for social justice and commitment to diversity," says Dean David W. Burcham. "Diversity enriches the law school experience for everyone at every level."

The University of Arizona Rogers College of Law features faculty and scholars who challenge students to engage in the curriculum. The college offers a rigorous academic program, an informal social climate, a collaborative learning environment, and small classes of 25 students in the first year. The college has an active chapter of La Raza, a dedicated group of alumni, an eight-day academic enrichment pre-entry program (the Gonzalez-Villarreal BRIDGE Program), a mentoring program with the Tucson legal community, tutoring services for first-year students, and an array of faculty, administrative, and university resources to recruit, encourage, and support students. Curricular offerings include strengths in international trade law, indigenous people's rights, international human rights and water law, clinical opportunities in immigration law, and a trial advocacy program. The college encourages an ethic of service among students, faculty, and staff through monthly college-wide community service projects. Says student Veneranda Aguirre of Nogales, Arizona: "The college of law creates an inclusive atmosphere that allows its students, staff, and employees to celebrate their individual cultural heritages and use them to further the common understanding in class and in community activities."
