Samuel Ramirez, Sr.
President, Samuel A. Ramirez & Company
Mr. Ramirez is the founder and majority owner of Samuel A. Ramirez & Company Inc., a New York City-based financial services firm. Since its founding in 1971, the firm has gained a reputation as a nationally ranked distributor of municipal obligations. In addition to retail and institutional distribution, the firm provides investment-banking services to corporations and state and local governments. Recently, it established an equity research department focusing on Hispanic companies, represented by The Ramirez Hispanic Index. Steven M. Risso
Chief Executive Officer, Popular Ford Sales Inc.
Mr. Risso is a Ford dealer from Brooklyn, New York, with 20 years' experience in the retail auto industry. The company was founded in 1980 by his late father, Harry Risso, and is operated today by brothers Steven and Jaime. The company is regularly listed as being among New York City's top minority-owned companies by Crain's Business magazine. Since becoming CEO in 2000, Steven has grown the company's sales by nearly 70 percent through acquisitions and new ventures. He currently serves on three automotive association boards and is chairman of one.

Assemblyman Peter Rivera
New York State Assembly, 76th District
Elected in 1992, Assemblyman Rivera represents the areas more popularly known in Bronx County as Fordham, West Farms, Parkchester and Castle Hill. Assemblyman Rivera is also the Chairman of the New York State Assembly Puerto Rican/Hispanic Task Force. The highest-ranking Hispanic elected official in the New York State Assembly, Assemblyman Rivera has targeted major areas including education and working to establish a Puerto Rican heritage center at a newly renovated Bronx office of the New York Public Library.
Rafael Salaberrios
President, The Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation
Mr. Salabarrios presides over the primary resource agency for the Bronx business community and is the economic consultant to the Office of Bronx Borough President Adolfo Carrion Jr. Among Mr. Salabarrios' initiatives has been a job placement and retraining program to help Bronx residents who lost their jobs in the wake of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
Ed Sanchez
President, Lopez Foods
Mr. Sanchez is responsible for supervising the company's operations, planning, development, and expansion. Prior to this post, he served as president, Latin America and Canadian Group, McDonald's Corporation, and in 1986 received the McDonald's President's Award, the highest honor given by senior management for an employee's performance. He serves as chairman of the Hispanic Steering Committee, working as a resource to McDonald's management and Hispanic employees.
Carlos Signoret
Partner and Co-manager, Hispania Capital Partners
Mr. Signoret's private equity transaction experience is focused on middle-market companies based in the United States in the manufacturing, service, and distribution sectors. Previously, Mr. Signoret was a principal of CM Equity Partners L.P., a New York-based private equity fund focusing on the acquisition of middle-market manufacturing, distribution and service companies in the United States and Canada. Prior to that, Mr. Signoret worked at The Chase Manhattan Bank.
Winston Smith
Director of Supplier Diversity, Microsoft Corporation
Mr. Smith currently serves as the director of supplier diversity at Microsoft Corporation. Before joining Microsoft in June 2002, he served in a similar capacity at AT&T, where he was a 22-year veteran having held various positions in network services, engineering, operations, and law and government affairs. He served as an executive assistant to the president of network services, managed the company's United States-based real estate portfolio, and directly managed field operations and engineering forces.
