The school's efforts to reach out to diverse populations have been recognized by the National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) and by the Consortium for Graduate Study in Management. NSHMBA bestowed its first University of the Year Award on Goizueta Business School in recognition of "its involvement with and support of NSHMBA on both a local and national level, its efforts to attract more Hispanics to the MBA program, and its prestige and reputation in the community." The Consortium of Graduate Students in Management recently tapped Goizueta to join its alliance of 14 business schools in partnership with Corporate America. The Consortium recruits college-educated African-American, Hispanic, and Native American U.S. citizens and invites them to compete for merit-based fellowships for graduate study leading to an MBA.
