Do you remember how we told you that basketball's Shaquille O'Neal would be facing off against an intimidating lineup of superstars from other sports?
Shaq's new show, Shaq vs, premiered last night with somewhat disappointing ratings results. But the episode we're most looking forward to -- the delicious prospect of Shaq facing Oscar de la Hoya in the boxing ring seems to be in production because footage of the 7'1" center taking on the 5'10" Golden Boy has surfaced on the Internet.
TMZ, the popular gossip and media site, has published video of the modern day David vs. Goliath battle taken from the Planet Hollywood Hotel in Las Vegas. Think you know how this one turns out? Well, it seems the skilled de la Hoya can hold his own regardless of the 1'3" and near 200 pound size difference. While we're with TMZ in lamenting that we'll have to wait until the Shaq vs. Oscar episode airs to see the full results of the contest, in the meantime, TMZ's footage is well worth checking out for fans of sport and spectacle.
