International House of Pancakes (IHOP) has announced its plan to give away a free pancakes on Tuesday February 24th in order to celebrate National Pancake Day, as well as encourage customers to donate to Children's Miracle Network or another children's hospital.
Each customer will be eligible for one free short stack or three pancakes. Although rival Denny's pulled a similar act with its February free Grand Slam Day, IHOP has hosted Free Pancake Day since 2006, raising more than $875,000 in charitable contributions. The diner's goal for 2009 is to reach one million-dollars in donations. Coincidentally, February 24 also marks Mardi Gras, or Fat Tuesday.
