Nadya Suleman, the famous octuplet-bearer and now mother of 14 children, has produced a Web site (thenadyasulemanfamily.com) allowing visitors to leave comments and donations of any sort, even cold hard cash through Pay Pal.
The surprisingly articulate Suleman has received mixed reviews from the media and the public, some calling her selfish for having in vitro fertilization when she already had six children, others claiming that her ultimate goal is to get financial support. Whatever the case, the single mother defended herself most recently on The Today Show, saying that having babies is all she has ever wanted.
Although Suleman initially denied accepting any sort of charity, including government help for her six kids in the past, public records revealed--and she later admitted--that this was a false statement. She was actually awarded $490 per month in food stamps, plus qualified for more than $1,000 in medical help due to the fact that two of her children are disabled.
Suleman's smallest of the octo-gang weighed in at a meager 1.5 pounds and the other seven were also less than two pounds. Now possessing enough children to field opposing basketball teams, each with two subs, the mom promised to swear off child bearing from now on. "100, 200, 300, 400%, done," she assured the media, public, or whomever was listening.
She may be out of embryos, but that doesn't mean the public is convinced.
