The Italian trial of Amanda Knox is reaching an end and the fate of the American college student could be known by next month. Knox, or "Foxy Knoxy," and her boyfriend are accused in the murder of Meredith Kercher, a British student.
The trial has made international headlines.
Two years after her death, Kercher's parents this week broke their silence about their daughter's death.
"We can only hope now that a conclusion is reached in the next five weeks, so that we can finally dedicate ourselves to remember Meredith for the person that all of us knew and not as a victim or as a news item," according to a ABCnews.com.
The gruesome crime at a cottage in Perugia, Italy has sparked broad media attention. Knox's parents too recently appeared on CNN's Larry King live to defend their daughter.
