Susan Boyle, the cultural phenomenon who rose to stardom on Britain's Got Talent, has broken Amazon.com's all-time album presales records.
Amazon won't say exactly how many albums have been pre-ordered. Boyle's album will be released next Monday.
The frumpy Scottish singer became an international overnight star after she performed "I Dreamed a Dream," on Britain's Got Talent. Although she didn't win the show, like Adam Lambert, who placed second on American Idol, Boyle has emerged as an international hit, largely due to her operatic voice.
