Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2009 is a day for the history books. President-elect Barack Obama will be sworn in as the 44th President of the United States of America.
The swearing-in ceremony will take place at the steps of the United States Capitol in Washington, D.C., and Mr. Obama is set to make his inauguration speech at around 11:30 EST. Once completing his inaugural address, the new President will attend the departure ceremony of President George W. Bush. Following the ceremony, President Obama, Vice-President Joe Biden, and family members will be attend a luncheon (closed to the public) hosted by the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies. The inaugural parade will follow the luncheon and is set to start around 2:30 p.m. EST, with the majority of the parade route being free for public viewing.

Webcast
CNN and Facebook have joined forces and will be streaming live online videos of the event on Facebook.
