SAO PAULO, Brazil, Aug. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- The global law firm of Thompson & Knight LLP is pleased to announce the opening of its office in Sao Paulo, Brazil, attaining a strategic foothold in one of the most important financial and commercial hubs in Latin America. This move extends the Firm's impact through its five offices in the region responding to the growing demand in the areas of infrastructure, energy, project finance, capital markets, banking, private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and real estate in Latin America.

In addition to Sao Paulo, the Firm has offices in Rio de Janeiro and Vitoria, Brazil, and in Mexico City and Monterrey, Mexico. The venture, known as Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Thompson & Knight LLP, will enhance the Firm's Latin American practice and fortify its burgeoning Brazilian presence.
