NEW YORK, Feb. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Bennett Studios, a fully equipped recording and production facility in Englewood, NJ was associated with six GRAMMY wins this year in the categories of Best Traditional Pop Vocal, Best Contemporary Jazz Album, Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album, Best Salsa/Merengue Album, Best Instrumental Arrangement and Best Polka Album.
Bennett Studios is owned and operated by Dae Bennett, son of singer Tony Bennett, who won the GRAMMY in the Best Traditional Pop Vocal for "A WONDERFUL WORLD," which was recorded at Bennett Studios and was engineered and mixed by son Dae.
Dae Bennett was also the engineer on Randy Brecker's "34TH N LEX," which won for Best Contemporary Jazz Album. Bennett Studios staffer Brian Dozoretz was engineer on the Michael Brecker Quindectet release, "WIDE ANGLES," which won in the Best Large Jazz Ensemble as well as the track, "Timbuktu," from the same album, which won for Best Instrumental Arrangement.
Dozoretz was also the engineer on Celia Cruz's "REGALO DEL ALMA," which won for Best Salsa/Merengue Album. Fellow Bennett Studios staffer Dave Kowalski was the engineer on Jimmy Sturr's "LET'S POLKA 'ROUND," which won in the Best Polka Album category.
Most recently, Bennett Studios was the location for the recording of the next recording projects for The Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, The Jimmy Heath Big Band and Jimmy Sturr. Joshua Redmond's next project is being mixed and engineered by Dae Bennett at the studio and Randy Brecker completed tracking sessions for Brazilian guitarist Ronaldo Folegatti's new album.
