Pablo Tapia was born in the Dominican Republic and came to the U.S. at a young age. He attended Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey where he received a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering.
Prior to launching Apogee Networks, Mr. Tapia spent 18 years with various Wall Street companies in the technology area including Bankers Trust, where he held the position of Vice President of Telecommunications. He was also Vice President of Internetworking Technology at Goldman Sachs, where he performed several key functions to enhance the company's use of technology, such as leading the initiative to deploy the company's global Intranetwork.
Pablo Tapia founded Apogee Networks in 1997 with 4 employees. Today the company has 105 employees and is rapidly growing. Apogee Networks has offices in major U.S. cities as well as regional headquarters in Great Britain, Japan and recently established its presence in Canada. Its primary investors are Granite Ventures, Fidelity Ventures, Oak Investment Partners, BBVA, NetOne and CTC.
Apogee Networks develops and deploys advanced Content and IP Rating, Billing and Settlement Solutions for Content Distributors, ASPs, ISPs, Wireless Internet Content Providers, Carriers and Enterprise customers. The company is being recognized as a major player in providing billing solutions for the industry.
The company's partners include leading-edge companies such as Cisco Systems, Hewlett Packard, Lucent Technologies and others.
