Meghan McCain posted this racy photo viaTwitter last night.
Meghan McCain, daughter of senator and former presidential candidate John McCain, is the latest to become embroiled in a Twitter-based tempest-in-a-teapot.
The young blogger and Daily Beast contributor found herself receiving unwanted attention after posting a rather photo of herself online via TwitPic. The photo of Mghan McCain sees her posing in the mirror with a book on Andy Warhol; it turns out she didn't realize that her casual attire of a tank top would expose a bit more than her fan base is used to seeing. Some found the photo titillating; others offensive.
Negative comments ranged from constructive, saying she had no need to pull such a stunt, to outright calling her a "slut." While it seemed that McCain might choose to pull a Miley Cyrus and delete her Twitter account, McCain also garnered enough positive comments and support that she tweeted "promise not to delete my account until I sleep on it, thank you for the nice words supporters."
She also followed with an apology: "I do want to apologize to anyone that was offended by my twitpic, I have clearly made a huge mistake and am sorry 2 those that are offended."
