Deputy Press Secretary Gore 2000 Washington, DC The son of migrant farm workers, he quickly rose from the position of White House intern to become assistant press secretary for the president. In March he joined the presidential committee formed by Vice-President Al Gore, and he is currently the only official spokesman for the campaign. He will field reporters' questions and develop media strategies in Mr. Gore's bid to win the presidency in November 2000.
