Alberto Ibargüen
| CEO John S. and James L. Knight Foundation Mr. Ibargüen became the foundation's CEO in July 2005. Previously, he was publisher of The Miami Herald and El Nuevo Herald, both Knight Ridder newspapers. Under his leadership, the Herald won three Pulitzer Prizes and El Nuevo Herald won Spain's Ortega y Gasset Prize for best Spanishlanguage newspaper in 2002. He is a trustee of the National Gallery of Art, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and a former chairman of Public Broadcasting Service. |
