and Policy Center University of Illinois, Chicago Chicago's Midwest Latino Health Center was established five years ago to conduct research, training, and policy advocacy on chronic conditions and maternal and child health issues. It has three diabetes centers in Chicago, each serving about 1,000 residents per month. Ms. Giachello, an associate professor at the Jane Addams College of Social Work, has made the training of researchers, physicians, and nurses a priority. |
