Mr. Castro co-founded Border Media Partners in 2002. It became the largest privately held Hispanic radio company in the United States in September 2004, based on number of stations. It now owns 34 stations in Texas, 26 acquired in 2004. It has attracted backing from Wall Street firms and individual investors. In December 2004, Newsweek featured Mr. Castro as one of the people to watch in 2005.
