Hortensia Amaro
| Distinguished Professor Bouvé College of Health Science Northeastern University Dr. Amaro's research focuses on drug abuse among Hispanic and African- American women, HIV/AIDS, mental health, and racial/ethnic health disparities. Her research has appeared in more than 80 scientific publications, and she has managed more than 30 grants totaling $31 million. Dr. Amaro has served on committees for the National Institutes of Health, National Institute on Drug Abuse, National Institute of Mental Health, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. |
