Mr. Gonzalez has been president of the largest nonpartisan Hispanic voter organization in the United States for 10 years. Mr. Gonzalez was the central architect of the Latino Vote USA and Latino Vote 2000 campaigns in 1996 and 2000 that mobilized record numbers of Hispanic voters. Currently, Mr. Gonzalez is leading two national voter-mobilization alliances that seek to raise Hispanic voting to a record 7.5 million ballets cast in November. He also is a regular commentator on National Public Radio's Tavis Smiley Show.
