Susan Castillo
| Superintendent of Public Instruction State of Oregon Ms. Castillo oversees more than 500,000 students in more than 1,000 public schools. She also works with the state legislature on school funding and policy. She has established a Youth Advisory Team to involve students in decision-making about their school. From 1997 to 2002, Ms. Castillo served as the first Hispanic woman in the Oregon Legislative Assembly, where she focused on education issues. |
