State Supreme Court in the Bronx
In December 1998, he became administrative judge of the Supreme Court in the Bronx, becoming the first Hispanic to occupy the position in the state of New York. Born in Puerto Rico and raised in Hell's Kitchen, he began his judicial career as a Housing Court judge in the New York City Civil Court. Mr. Gonzalez is a member of the Association of Judges of Hispanic Heritage, the Puerto Rican Bar Association, and the 12th Judicial District's Task Force on Reducing Litigation Cost and Delay.
