The chamber promotes trade, investment, and joint ventures on both sides of the border. Mr. Zapanta has served under President Ronald Reagan on the State Department Advisory Committee on International Trade, Technology & Development, and under President George W. Bush as a delegate to the U.S.- Mexico Partnership for Prosperity. A decorated Vietnam veteran, he is currently chairman of the Reserve Forces Policy Board in the Defense Department.
