Executive Director and COO
National Council of La Raza
This year Ms. Murguia became executive director and COO of NCLR, the largest national Hispanic civil rights group in the country. Previously, she was executive vice-chancellor at the University of Kansas, overseeing public and governmental relations. From 1994 to 2000, she worked in the Clinton White House. She currently serves on the board for Independent Sector, a nonprofit coalition of more than 850 corporate, foundation, and voluntary organizations.
