| Attorney General State of New Mexico The nation's first female Hispanic attorney general came to office in 1998 and was re-elected in 2002. She chairs the Conference of Western Attorney Generals, a bipartisan group of the chief legal officers from 21 states. As New Mexico’s AG, she has established an Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. In 2003 the Latina Lawyers Bar Association gave her the Mary V. Orozco Abriendo Caminos Award. |
