Blandina Cardenas
| President University of Texas-Pan American This year Ms. Cardenas became the first female Hispanic president of The University of Texas-Pan American. She plans to expand the number of doctoral programs, graduate more students, and create partnerships with financial supporters and other institutions to bring attention to the Rio Grande Valley and its economy. Previously, Ms. Cardenas was dean of the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Texas-San Antonio. |
