R. Alexander Acosta
| Assistant Attorney General, Civil Rights Division Justice Department Mr. Acosta is the first Hispanic to serve as assistant attorney general. Before joining the Justice Department, he served as a member of the National Labor Relations Board, the principal federal agency for regulating labor unions. He is the 2003 recipient of the Mexican-American Legal Defense & Education Fund's Excellence in Government Service Award and the D.C. Hispanic Bar Association’s Hugh A. Johnson Jr. Memorial Award. |
