Ms. Wilcox chairs the board at the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials Educational Fund, an organization that trains Hispanics to participate in the political process. She also serves as a third-term supervisor in Maricopa County. Ms. Wilcox, who previously served on the Phoenix City Council for nine years, is the first Hispanic woman to serve on either the city council or the county board of supervisors.
