This year, Nike’s worldwide revenues surpassed $10 billion for the first time, with $4.7 billion coming from the U.S. market, which Mr. Hidalgo oversees. For 12 years, he was global brand director of Nike Soccer, where he directed the “Secret Tournament” marketing campaign during the 2002 World Cup. Mr. Hidalgo began his Nike career in sales and has worked as marketing director for Nike Mexico and manager of Nike Argentina.
