A $100 million–plus ad budget and 70 marketing professionals help Ms. Cervantez promote Mercedes-Benz products. She is one of only five vice-presidents at the car manufacturer, a unit of DaimlerChrysler. Previously, she worked at Ford, including stints as Lincoln LS brand development manager, Ford Trustmark marketing manager, Jaguar vice-president of marketing, and Ford’s global process and strategy manager.
