At age 23, Ms. Castillo reigns as the third Hispanic woman in history to be crowned Miss USA. This year she will travel nationwide as an advocate for such organizations as the National Alliance of Breast Cancer Organizations and the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. Earlier, Ms. Castillo volunteered at numerous organizations in Massachusetts, including Help for Abused Women and their Children, the Lawrence Girls Club, and Latinas Against Sexual Assault.
