Mr. Alvarez is the highest-ranking Hispanic at McDonald’s, the world’s largest restaurant chain. As a member of the U.S. Executive Leadership Team at McDonald’s, Mr. Alvarez helps oversee the efficient running of more than 13,000 fast-food outlets, in addition to the company’s restaurant systems and operations functions. He joined McDonald’s in 1994 as vice-president for the Sacramento region.
