| Deputy Assistant Secretary for Terrorism & Violent Crime Treasury Department Mr. Zarate coordinates anti-terrorism efforts with the Treasury Department’s agencies. He spearheaded the U.S. counter-terrorist strategy on the financial front, including the organization of Operation Green Quest, the inter-agency task force investigating terrorist funding. Mr. Zarate also is author of the book Forging Democracy, about U.S. foreign policy in Central America. |
