Marine Corps
Ms. Salinas, the highest-ranking Hispanic female in the Marines, is commanding officer of a 10-state recruiting district headquartered in San Diego. She served previously as assistant chief of staff for the western recruiting region. Since enlisting in the Marine Corps in 1974, she has earned many decorations, including the Meritorious Service Medal and the Army Commendation Medal.
