With the purchase of WMEG-FM and WEGM-FM in Puerto Rico and of LaMusica.com, an Internet music vendor, SBS continues to expand its influence. New York Governor George Pataki presented Mr. Alarcon with the Governorís 1998 Hispanic Heritage Excellence Award.
