| Rear Admiral U.S. Navy The admiral is top officer in the Mine Warfare Command, headquartered in Corpus Christi, Texas. His command locates and destroys sea mines and identifies and marks safe passage routes for ships. He also is responsible for the development of the Navy’s underwater mines. Mr. Betancourt has responsibility for 27 ships worldwide. |
