Director Selective Service System After being nominated to the top Selective Service post by President George W. Bush, Mr. Rascon was confirmed by the Senate in May. As director, he oversees a $24.5 million budget. The agency ensures that every U.S. male between 18 and 25 is registered for the draft. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Rascon’s 38-year federal career concluded with a five-year stint as inspector general of the Selective Service System. |
