Artist
Mr. Pardo was recently named inaugural winner of the Lucelia Artist Award, given by the Smithsonian American Art Museum. This $25,000 award will be given annually to an artist under the age of 50 "who has produced a significant body of artwork that demonstrates exceptional creativity." One of Mr. Pardo’s most recent projects is "Lamps" at Sotheby’s New York headquarters. "Mr. Pardo exemplifies a new direction in contemporary art," declared the Lucelia Award jurors.
