Michael Lopez-Alegria
| Astronaut National Aeronautics & Space Administration Mr. Lopez-Alegria was aboard NASA’s shuttle Discovery when it launched from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida on October 11, 2000. The seven-member crew spent 13 days in space, attaching a truss and pressurized adapter to the International Space Station. Mr. Lopez-Alegria spent 14 hours outside the vessel in the course of two space walks. He had flown aboard the shuttle Columbia in 1995. |
