Michael Garcia
| Assistant Secretary for Export Enforcement Department of Commerce Mr. Garcia was sworn in as an assistant secretary at the Commerce Department on August 6. Earlier, he worked in the Department of Justice’s Office for the Southern District of New York, where he helped convict four people accused of bombing U.S. embassies in East Africa. In 1992, he took part in the prosecution of four defendants in the first World Trade Center bombing trial. |
