Carlos Alvarez
| Founder & CEO The Gambrinus Co. Mr. Alvarez founded the Gambrinus Co., a beer importer, distributor, and brewer, in 1986. The company distributes Corona Extra (the nation’s top import), Modelo Especial, Negra-Modelo, Pacifico, and Moosehead. In the microbrewery market, Mr. Alvarez purchased the Spoetzl Brewery, the BridgePort Brewing Co., and Pete’s Brewing Co. The name Gambrinus can be traced to a medieval Belgian duke credited with inventing the toast as a social custom. |
