Attorney General New Mexico Ms. Madrid is the first woman and first Hispanic elected to the office of the Attorney General in New Mexico. She was honored with the 1999 Trailblazer Award by the New Mexico Commission. She represents the state in all matters in which the state has an interest and issues opinions on questions of law submitted by officials. Before being elected, Ms. Madrid was in private practice, focusing on commercial litigation. |
