Director California Dept. of Health Services Sacramento, CA Appointed by Governor Gray Davis to head one the largest departments in California government, Ms. Bontá stands at the forefront of the emerging market for health care from a Hispanic perspective. She is the first Hispanic in charge of the state’s Health Services Department. She also serves as chairwoman of the Executive Board of the American Public Health Association, as well as a board member for the Center for Disease Control’s advisory committee and the National Association of County and City Health Officials. |
