President National Association of Hispanic Journalists Washington, DC Ms. Alvear, a NBC News Burbank field producer, was elected president of the 1,600-member association during a NAHJ convention this summer in Houston. She says it’s an exciting time to be a Latino and a journalist, adding: "Just as we are changing the demographics of United States we will change the demographics of the U.S. newsrooms." She will serve a two-year term. |
